Kota Tua Street Vendors Raided

Hundreds of Satpol PP personnel conduct sweeping against stall and merchandise belong to street vendors in Kota Tua area, Taman Sari, West Jakarta.

Sweeping is done in the buildings and hallways in order to sterilize the Fatahillah Museum from street vendor

West Jakarta Satpol Pp Head, Tamo Sijabat disclosed, street vendors deliberately keep their merchandises inside a building in Kota Tua area. This time, his side sent 100 personnel to the field.

"Sweeping is done in the buildings and hallways in order to sterilize the Fatahillah Museum from street vendor," he stated, Wednesday (9/21).

He also asserted, if the building owner is still accommodating street vendor merchandise, warning until sealing letter will be sent.

"In future, if the same case is still found, we will seal the building," he asserted.

He explains, Kota Tua is supposedly already free from street vendor in aftermath of relocation process. Therefore, his side will keep conducting monitoring.

Merchandises that secured are tents, chairs, carts, tables, pans, stoves and gas cylinders, and so forth.
